Spatial Characteristics of Rural Malaysia System (S-CHARMs)
S-CHARMs is a comprehensive web-based and mobile GIS platform designed to support rural planning and development across Peninsular Malaysia and Labuan. The system provides an integrated spatial database and analytical tools to display and assess information on villages and public facilities in an interactive, user-friendly way. Built on the foundation of the National Rural Physical Planning Policy 2030 (DPF Desa Negara 2030), S-CHARMs enables planners, policymakers, and stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions for rural governance. By combining accessibility with advanced geospatial analysis, the platform strengthens transparency, efficiency, and sustainability in rural development initiatives.
